Sand casting is a kind of casting process. The mold used in sand mold casting is generally composed of outer sand mold and core. The main reason is that compared with other casting methods, sand casting has low cost, simple production process and short production cycle. Therefore, castings such as the engine cylinder block, cylinder head and crankshaft of automobiles are produced by the clay wet sand process. When the wet type can not meet the requirements, consider using clay sand table dry sand type, dry sand type or other sand type. The weight of clay wet sand casting can range from several kilograms to tens of kilograms, while the weight of clay dry casting can reach tens of tons. Because of the above advantages, sand casting is more and more widely used in the casting industry. In the future, it will play an increasingly important role in the foundry industry.
